Project Overview:
In the summer of 2021, Sonrisa Senior Living in Roseville, California, opened its doors to residents. A two-year, $46.7 million project, brought a 201-unit premier independent living community to the area. Sitting on 10-acres of land in an ideal location for seniors with easy access to shopping, dining, healthcare, parks & recreations, and entertainment options. The three-story community offers studio, one and two-bedroom apartments with floor plans ranging from 612 to 1,167 square feet.
Sonrisa is setting a new standard for senior living. With a full range of services and amenities including chef-prepared meals, housekeeping, linen service, poolside dining, a lobby lounge and bar, elegant restaurant dining, state-of-the-art fitness center, full-service beauty salon and barber, day spa, theatre and media room, community garden, and much more.
"We were awarded this project based on VT's track record and positive working relationship with Brown Construction, the builder, as well as our performance on the recently completed project, Sagora Senior Living," noted Joey Costa, Project Manager for VT's Commercial Division.
VT’s Contribution:
VT's Commercial Operations team was tasked with sourcing, templating, and installing over 14,000 square feet of stone throughout the new senior living community at Sonrisa. The product used for the units was a custom quartz product sourced by the Commercial Operations team. Sonrisa's common areas feature Cambria's Whitehall color, the reception desk features a marble selected from New Jersey, and other common areas feature customer-selected marbles. The Commercial Operations team were also tasked with the surfaces in the lobby lounge and bar, the bistro cafe, dining room, beauty salon and barber, day spa, outdoor BBQ, and community bathrooms.
