CenterPointe Butcher Block Countertops Help Turn Homeowner’s Kitchen Vision into Reality
With a stroke of luck, Ron Johnson, owner of Cabinet Source in Yuma, Arizona was introduced to VT Industries’ newest countertop product, CenterPointe butcher block countertops, at just the right time. Ron was planning to go to Phoenix, Arizona to source butcher block countertops for his daughter’s kitchen island for the new home she was building. “I was making plans to schedule the six-hour round trip to Phoenix to pick-up butcher block countertops when in walked the VT Industries salesman who introduced me to the CenterPointe product,” explained Ron. Ron’s daughter knew that she wanted to incorporate wood into her custom-designed kitchen and thought the Acacia species would provide just the right look.
Not only was the look and the quality of CenterPointe spot-on, but it also saved him from having to make the trek to Phoenix to source butcher block. “The freight to get butcher block to Yuma was outrageous, usually more expensive than the countertop itself,” Ron noted. So, he’d plan strategic buying trips to Phoenix to purchase butcher block tops or tack on a few extra hours to pick up butcher block tops to bring back to Yuma if he was in town for pleasure. Ron said, “I am thrilled that I now have butcher block available weekly with my shipment from VT Industries”.
“My daughter’s vision truly came to life," said Ron, "she knew she wanted to incorporate a butcher block surface on her custom-built island, but the design truly came together when she decided to use CenterPointe for the open shelving.” Also, to highlight the natural variations of the Acacia wood, he sealed the island top and shelves with four coats of Emmet’s “Good Stuff” Wood Sealer, a trusted food-safe product he’s used for many years to protect and seal the surface.
