Due to a rise in recent gun-related tragedies, especially in schools, higher safety measures are now a top concern. With the recent push to support the federal Student, Teachers, and Officers Preventing (STOP) School Violence Act legislation, bullet resistant doors are at the top of many industry discussions and for a good a reason. One initiative in the STOP Act is to increase technology and equipment to improve school security and prevent future tragedies from happening.
Bullet resistant doors are just one of the specialty door types VT offers. There are eight levels of bullet resistance currently on the market, from level 1 all the way to level 8. VT offers doors with level 1, 2, and 3 bullet resistance. These doors have been tested and approved by Underwriters Laboratories (UL)allowing you to feel confident in the door’s performance should the need ever arise.
